1. Firstly you need a knife. If you have one already then you can skip this step, if not then you need about 5gp (which you can get from killing goblins) and buy one from any general store. They all stock them in unlimited amounts now.
2. You also need any type of axe (although the better the metal the quicker you will make money). You can buy one of these from the general store, or axe store at a very cheap price!
3. Now find some normal trees and cut them until your inventory is full.
4. Use your knife on the logs to create normal arrow shafts. Because arrow shafts stack (like money, so you can have multiple amounts of items taking up just 1 space in your inventory. This means you don't ever have to go to the bank which saves lots of time and makes much more money!
5. If you chop a full load and fletch it in 3 minutes, then you can cut 540 logs an hour which means 8,100 arrow shafts.
6. Sell the arrow shafts on the forums and you will make around 120k because they can sell for 10-15 coins each! This means effectively by turning the log into 15 arrow shafts people are paying you 300gp per log!

Section 2: How members can make even more money!

If you have 20-30k now, there is an even quicker way to speed up the time it takes to get your 100k. The best way is to hire other people to chop the logs for you. Because you are effectively selling the logs for 300gp each, you can afford to spend 10-25gp by buying logs, can't you!

Here is the steps I recommend in order to boost the amount of money you make per hour:

1. Go to free worlds and enter the banks or find people chopping logs. Tell them that you are hiring workers to cut normal logs and you will pay them 10-25gp each (depending on how fast they are). Tell them that if they get 100 logs in 10 minutes you will pay 15gp each, if they get 100 logs in 5 minutes you will pay them 25gp each and if they get them in more than 10 minutes (you can judge how much they should get paid). This means they will get them quicker.
2. Whilst they are cutting them, you should trade them every time they have a full inventory, and you can fletch them into arrow shafts instead of running them to the bank.
3. If they are quite slow then get more workers.
4. Once you have 5-10 workers, after an hour you should have about 1,000-3,000 logs, fletched into 15,000 shafts or more. You can get 20,000 in 1 hour easily. Here is how much you will make once you have sold them for 15gp each:

2,500 logs costing 20gp each = 50,000gp

2,500 logs makes 37,500 arrow shafts

37,500 arrow shafts = 560,000gp (15gp each).

THAT'S AMAZING! IT'S NEARLY 100K EVERY 10 MINUTES!

Section 3: Free players making money

So chicken feathers are worthless? Well they are to free players but to members they are very useful as they are used in fletching to make arrows. Instead of members having to collect them themselves, they pay ridiculous amounts of money for them.

The good thing about feathers is that they stack (meaning you can have unlimited amounts only taking up 1 inventory space).

Killing chickens is a great way to make money. Although it can be quite slow, it is in fact the easiest way because you can kill chickens in 1 hit and ill make 5-15 feathers, which is the equivalent of 75-225 feathers per hit.

Here are the steps to making money killing chickens:

1. Go somewhere where there are chickens (and preferably not that many people killing them - you might need to swap worlds).
2. It will take about 4-5 hours in order to get 100k (by getting 7000-10,000 feathers).
3. Sell them to Runescape members by looking on the forums (they are looking for the free players because they can get them cheaper - you can view the forums, but just not post).

So, if you are a member it is much easier to make your first 100k, because the method used can be adopted to make much more if you have keen workers and someone to sell to (people buy constantly because they have a single way of making money which they use consistently, so they will always be wanted to buy products off of you).
